Tom Cruise is known for doing dangerous stunts for his films, but what he has planned next is going to outdo anything he's ever done before.
For his upcoming untitled action movie with director Doug Liman, the superstar will blast off to space. Donna Langley, the head of Universal Pictures, teased the news during an interview with the BBC, saying, "Tom Cruise is taking us to space... We have a great project in development with Tom, that does contemplate him doing just that. Taking a rocket up to the space station and shooting and hopefully being the first civilian to do a spacewalk outside of the space station."
Although the movie will be shot mostly on Earth, there are scenes that will be filmed at the International Space Station, as Tom plays "a down-on-his-luck guy who finds himself in the position of being the only person who could save Earth." The movie, which has NASA and Elon Musk's SpaceX company on board, has a budget of approximately $200 million. ~Alexandra Heilbron

Welp, if someone was going to be the first, it would be Tom Cruise. Of course it would! Nobody can say he phones in a performance. He puts in all the effort he can. I'd like to see how the real thing is compared to a blue screen sound stage. Even though he's up there and will see the big blue marble and confirm that the earth is sound, the flat earthers will still say Tom is wacko and won't believe him. Plus they'll say he didn't actually go into space either.
Tom believes (Scientology) that when he dies, he will rule a planet. He doesn't seem to be scared of death. Ya think?
In order to film Cruise in the ISS and doing a space walk, a camera crew must accompany him. Cruise will get millions for risking his life to do this. Will the crew also get millions? Also, when a team goes to the ISS, they stay for months because the ships that go only have so many trips they can safely make (remember the Challenger?) and so the number of trips to and from the space station are kept to a minimum. What is Cruise and his camera crew going to do while they wait for the return trip?
We tried this back in January 1986. Strapping civilians into a rocket with current technology is magnitudes more dangerous than plane travel. A deceptive stunt if they pull it off.
How much reality do we really need. People have had it all this way where is the imagination sometimes reality has just gone too far . Money Money Money the average person could never even imagine seeing this stuff privelage beyond compare like his movies but will not see this one what about the ozone layer we are suppoosed to care about spray cans etc that we are told will damage it but just a joy trip stunt
