Starting to go woke!

December 26, 2022

Movies coming out lately are all about empowering African Americans or using cartoons like aviator to push naritives. There is no reason that a movie that has been in this theatre for almost 6 weeks now is still being shown in multiple theatres. You need to have a healthy mix of movies for everyone to enjoy. This is a big reason as to why I haven’t been to a movie in a long time. Tired of being demonized because I’m white.

Why is the food so bad?

September 08, 2019

When someone pays a lot of money for food, one would usually expect at least some level of care in the flavour, texture, or even presentation and temperature of “hot food”; over cooked or even stale feeling chicken fingers or boneless wings, chicken sandwiches where the temperature varies throughout, pizza with an crust feeling. It has been on more than one occasion that the hot food area has poorly delivered anything reasonable other than regular fries. Seats are otherwise comfortable and buying movie tickets is smooth. Popcorn sales area is ok, but someone please take care of the hot food section.

Not Very Disabled Friendly...

January 11, 2016

For a relatively new building, the Silver City Polo Park venue is a disgrace to the disabled and the designer should be ashamed of themselves. Yes, there is a ramp to get into the building, this is true. However, the nice visuals of a staircase seemed to take priority over disability access -- either that, or accessibility for the handicapped was an afterthought. Oopsies. Because of this, the ramp to get in the building is way off to the far left side, not even close to the handicapped parking, on the far right. It's like taking a detour to Grand Forks first for a wheelchair -- especially in the wintertime. Inside isn't much better, either. Can the disabled purchase their tickets for themselves and their attendant with the terminal machines like everyone else? Nope. The only way is for us to stand in long line-ups to get them. Discrimination? I would say YES. Wheelchair seating? Yes there is, which is nice. What isn't so nice is that each theater only has a couple of designated wheelchair spots which are all just a couple rows back from the first. So while most people can choose where they sit and how far away they view their movies from the screen, wheelchair bound people don't have that luxury. You either sit on the left side practically at the front, or the right side practically at the front. Those are the only two options. Finally, Customer Service stinks. I can use my Scene points to pay for my ticket even though I have an Access card, thank you very much. Yet I was told by an employee AND the manager that I couldn't -- even though I've been doing it that way for years. Even called head office and they said I was right, too. Silver City Polo Park really needs to get someone in there to start making changes that acknowledge the disabled and make it more handicapped friendly because for a few years now, it has been an epic failure.

Go to Landmark

May 15, 2018

No service to use a coupon or even get a question answered. Concession stand is the only place to go and all they are good at is selling popcorn? I am done with Cineplex and will now only go to Landmark at Grant Park.

Worst management

April 16, 2016

We asked for a refund because theatre was full, and was refused by "Parker S" even though the movie hadn't begun. This manager was rude to us, said it was our own fault we didn't get there earlier. He was also condescending and abrupt to the other staff who were trying to help get us a refund. I will not return to this theatre!

Gone downhill

March 29, 2019

This theater has gone downhill big time . The staff are all a bunch of kids who seem to be less than motivated to say the least . My latest trip here ,the theater was so hot ,I thought I was going to have a stroke . But who do you complain to ... some kid who probably doesn't give a shit ? I've yet to see a manager or someone who looks like they are in charge . I'll take my movie buying money elsewhere .

Very dirty

February 07, 2020

Better seating is needed: popcorn is horrid. You pay for butter & I have no idea what I am getting. Someone needs to clean the theater properly as well as the counters at the concession and tables need to be cleaned in the food section.
